Horton Homes Good/bad?

Post by Ali » Mon Jul 25, 2005 7:31 pm

Hi- any one have any opinions on horton homes? Looking in central ga area and these seem to be the best built for the money. Any ideas?
Thanks

And Oh yes, we visited a Palm harbor dealership today and had to sit through an hour speal before we could even look at a home, and then they only showed us ONE house. They have a much more agressive sales aproach then horton.

Horton is standard with press board floors..be sure you order with an upgrade...Horton warranty is only 1 yr...PH is a 5 yr "protection"plan...this means there is a small deductable after the 1st yr...Call the ph store and ask for the general manager..tell them about your feelings..they are crruently training crews..not to do this sort of thing....My guess is that you went to Macon..ask for Sandy the GM..She will make sure your visit is comfortable...

Hey...Im from Georgia also...Go to the horton place in Eatonton where they actually build them...I lived in a Horton home for almost 15 yrs...It was beautiful...Built very well..It was the upgraded model...In my opinion..it is one of the best...My dad also used to sell mobile homes...But, he sold Fleetwoods..He also used to sell Palm Harbor homes in Milledgeville..I used to go in and look around all the time...THEY ARE REALLY NICE...me and my fiancee are looking into buying a modular home..Hopefully we'll make it to Eatonton this weekend to look around.

thanks for the info! Yes, we are looking in Eatonton, working with a sales rep named Dean. He seems on the up and up.

Since this dealer is near the plant...just down the street many get the idea..thst Horton has something to do with them...Them are a locally owned independent dealer...

Just be sure not to get the pressboard floor..(NovoDeck)

Ask the dealer for some references of some recent customers....Good Luck....Be sure you go buy the dealer in Milledgeville..Ranch Park Homes and check out their product as well...They have been ther for decades....Good folks...

Did you call the Palm Hrbor General Manager???
