Greentree, Concesco stay away from them. They are the worst. Go to consumergov and any complaint you see listed is how they do everyone, only I am being hit with each one and then some. I have finally gotten a attorney to help me try and save my home, based on payments they have ask for and different charges applied to the loan, they are asking us to pay 3 houes payments a month to stay in the home.

Greentree buried us in a home, then sold to Conseco and now back with Greentree. neither company would refinance due to the fact we are buried in it. They had no problem loaning for more than it was worth, now they won't touch it. Neither will anyone else. (1998 doublewide on acreage) rate was supposed to be 8.99 max rate it is 9.25 per their customer service. We have had the loan since 1997 and the balance has not moved at all. State see's no problem in loaning money for something with less value than the loan amount. Debated about walking away, but this was my home before they came into the picture. Any suggestions? Thanks

DO NOT REFINANCE THROUGH GREENTREE!!!!!!!!!!! They are crooks. They have a loan called the rule of 78 loan. That means you pay all the interest first then you pay on the principal amount we have our trailer therough them. They are a horrible company to use. they refuse to give our loan information to a bank to refinance our mobile home. I wouldn't wish the problems we are having with them on anyone. Please take my advice don't go through greentree. You'll get stuck with something that you may not want.

I know this is an old subject, but I am having the exact same problem with re-financing. the only difference is that I have a double wide, 1995 on permanent foundation, and still can't get any of the reputable lenders to re-finance. I have been trying for about 6 months now. Citibank wouldn't do one for us, and we bank with them. GMAC Mortgage wouldn't, and every other person I talked to. We ended up going to one of those search engines, and got a bunch of responses, but when we tell them a manufactured home we get shut down. It is pretty frustrating. Our origional loan was through GreenTree, and we went through the whole GreenTree to Conseco to GreenTree and now I am being charged an extra $11+ a month in fees that they can't even tell me what they are for! I am about to give up on the whole process, sell this manufactured house, and go for a "stick" built. At least then I could get any kind of financing I needed!

Folks with good credit and enough income to make the payments can get just about anything they want financed or refianced. If you are a known good risk lenders want to lend you money... that is their business. Starting out with the right loan can add up to substantial savings over the years. The Manufactured Home Loan Finder Service matches manufactured housing lenders and borrowers. You will discover which participating lenders offer the best programs and rates to meet your needs. There is no obligation, no initial credit check, and the expected time to complete the short form is only 4 minutes.
