The best in the NY, NJ, PA tristate area?
The best in the NY, NJ, PA tristate area?
Who is the best builder in the NY, NJ, PA trisate area for manufactured homes. I know from state to state they can differ even if it is the same company. Like say a Champion home factory in the NY area might be good where as one in Texas it might not be so good. At least that is what I hear around here sometimes about the different factories that produce the homes.
Also anyone got any ideas about manufactured home communities in any of these states. My job is transferring me to one of the NY branches and from what I have learned about the rent I think buying manufactured home and commuting from PA, NJ or upsate NY would be much better. I have no interest in renting a manufactured home. I want to move into something new.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Try Pinegrove or New Era. Both are excellent homes.

The Complete Buyers Guide to Manufactured Homes and Land is a great resource has taught thousands of MH Shoppers just how the manufactured home industry operates. It will show you how to find a dealer worthy of your trust and how to make the right home selection. The book is only a few years old but the information is still very fresh.
What has changed, even over a few years, is the homes that are available. The The Grissim Report 2005, Rating the Top 25 Manufactured Home Builders was just released. THis is the latest update of Chapter 10 that YOu can read as a preview here on our web site at www.mfdhousing.com/top25
Grissim’s top 25 rankings are based on the total number of HUD-code homes that each built last year. This information was compiled from reports by industry sources, including the trade magazine Manufactured Home Merchandiser and extensive interviews with industry experts, outside observers, and consumer watchdog groups.
The entire book is now available at the Manufactured Housing Book Store in both the
original hardbound print edition and the newly released E-Book Edition.

Re: The best in the NY, NJ, PA tristate area?
There are several great communities in the north eastern part of PA. The above advise about Pine Grove and New Era was right on. Also, Ritz Craft, Champion from PA (not NY), Marlette and Colony.
Do yourself one big favor, buy from a dealer in the state you are siting the home and buy a home built in the same state as well.
