Appliances & fixtures upgrades

I have a question that has to do with negotiating prices with the dealer. Are manufacturers usually able to purchase appliance/fixture upgrades of all or most popular brands at wholesale?

Usually not...most manufacturers will have an agreement with an individual manufacturer...And then usually a limited number of models for each appliance...

Some custom manufacturers will then offer any appliance from that manufacturer on a special order...but prices they charge and pay are not that much of a savings...Often some appliances sell for less from the appliance stores..

For those with very specific idaes...often dealer will allow the customer to pick them out from the local appliance store and make an allowance to include them into the home..

I am shopping for appliances (refridgerator/freezer, washer dryer etc.), and am concerned with how much electricity they use. Where should I shop that would offer me the best prices along with energy efficient machines
