I live in Kentucky. There are so many different brands to look at and compare. It is so confusing. I want a very nice house in means of looks and construction.
I am considering a 2004 Southern Energy 41 x 70 triple wide. It is the Georgetown with 28 11 21 insulation/2X8 floor joist,2X 6 int walls/8 or 9 inch sidewall/Fiberglass tubs/Porcelain sinks/Finished drywall, etc.

Can anyone help. I just want to get the best for my money with good quality

HEY TINA,

I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT THE GEORGETOWN ALSO. I LIKE THE EXTERIOR LOOKS, BUT IF YOU HAVE KIDS, THE BEDROOMS & UTILITY ARE KIND OF SMALL. I THOUGHT I HAD MY HEART SET ON IT, BUT I WENT TODAY TO LOOK AT IT AGAIN & PUT IT LOWER ON MY LIST BECAUSE OF "USABLE SPACE". IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CONTACT ME:

THANKS AND GOOD LUCK.....

I have been looking at the FX series mansion 3000 square feet southern energy top quality homes. What do you think or know I should know. I want to give them my own home plans. Some people tell me that leaves a open space for builders screw ups? What do you know? Is my own plans going to worth the time? What do I look for? Help??

we bought a home at atchafalaya homes in carencro. from the time we decided on which home we wanted, we have had nothing but trouble. the homes are nice and the quality of the home is good, but the people are very hard to work with once the deal is made. the home is delivered finally after three months. not the home we initially decided on. we got this one because the one we wanted would have been two more months. this one arrived at our own property 5 days ago. the crew put the first half on the runners after some damage was done enroute, then left because they said it was too hard to park the second half. (this is on a ONE AND ONE HALF ACRE LOT). the tarp covering the sides was not intact, the front half of the home was parked so that it was leaning at about 30 degrees. after numerous complaints to the salesman and service director, the crew returned and insulted my husband then got the truck stuck, finally got it out and left again without moving the second half. so here we are with rain running into the home and hoping to eventually get the job finished.

What I like about the Indies House is they have GFCI outlets everywhere, bedrooms, etc... not only in the bathrooms & kitchen.

Do you own an indies house. I am interested in looking at one and was wondering how they have held up. Also wondering what price range they run.
