How long to install?

Post by Melissa » Tue Jun 01, 2004 10:32 am

Hello everyone.
My fiance and I have purchased a fleetwood home. The offline date is set for 6/7/04. Can anyone give me an estimate on how long after that it takes to deliver and hook up. Is it usually a week or maybe 2? Thanks!

Ours has always been at least 3 weeks, but depending on how busy they are it can vary. Fleetwood should be able to give you an estimate.

Annaz,
Does that three weeks include leveling the site, septic, water, pad, etc. or does it just cover setup of the home on the property? If just set up, how long does the other prep work take?
Thanks in advance.

I was told 90 to 120 days for complete setup and site work

The manufacturer will not be able to give you any information as to how long the set up and such will take. They don't deal with that type of thing. I have my own set crew and construction company that is part of my company and the time frames can vary. If your dealer is using different contractors to do different things it will probably take a little more time so that those various contractors can get out of each others way to do the things they need to do. There can be quite a few moving parts. The septic is usually a one to two day job at most depending on the type of system while dirt work and such can usually be completed in about the same timeframe. You also have a trim out to get done and that can add some time too. Usually, weather permitting and having everyone on the same page, It shouldn't take more than a couple of weeks at most. Any longer and the dealership has dropped the ball.
