Hi, my husband and I are looking to purchase out first home and are looking at fleetwoods. Does anyone have any opinions about them. They are very popular where I am in central Arkansas. Thanks

Fleetwood is a large manufacturer that has many plants...All building a different home..Some are among the best...many are the most basic...

Much better to go to the book store here and buy one of the good books that will help you decide what to get in your home...then find one that has all the features you want...The books costs are very small in relation to the house's cost...

Good Luck

Thanks for your answer. Could you recommend a good title. I have been looking on the web and there are quite a few.

Hi Katherine, I can't speak for the other books, but I bought a copy of Eaton's "How To Buy a Manufactured Home..." and it has been enormously helpful! Between that book and this forum, we have been slowly making our way through the process...deciding on a brand of home and dealer, checking out construction and quality, finding land...right now we're trying to finalize the financing part of it. Without these aids I'd be utterly lost and probably would have made some regrettable decisions!

But the book from the bookstore on this site and help support this forum...

Randy's is the one mentioned here most often..The others here are probably good as well...The webmaster here is an experienced dealer and would not offer junk books in his bookstore..Good Luck
