I am looking to buy a Goldenwest 1992 manufactured home within the next week. I was not able to find any usable information on this manufacturer and need any help anyone that can offer about the company, the quality of MH that they built about 12 years ago, horror stories, and so on. Also, does anyone know a good knowledgeable home inspector in the Orange County area? Thanks in advance for all the help.

After doing more research, I found out that it is under Oakwood Home Corporation. How does the homes built by this company in the early compare to others? Any horror stories? Thanks again in advance for all the input.

Golden West was bought by Oakwood in 1995 or 96...The Golden West before Oakwood was one of the best in the West...Check it out..Good Luck

My hubby and I live in a Golden West mobile home, and ours is very nice and know as one of the nicest ones in the park, and indeed it is owned by Oakwood now. Even though we like our home, here is a link to a website with interesting info about Oakwood Manufactered Housing.

I think the best thing to do, is do your homework and try to gather as much info as you can about the company you are considering getting your home from, so you can make an informed decision.
