I am looking for any and all information on the above company. They advertise as factory direct with no middle man.How is the quality, there wookmanship, and is it going to cost us less by going through them? Also what would be a fair amount to add for del,set up,etc to the msrp price,to use as a guide to have a turn key price.I know this is hard to figure and all Im seeking is a ball park figure. Are there any other florida based manufactured that sell factory direct? Looking foward to any replies

nobility homes
Re: nobility homes
We live in a 94 Nobility, it has been a good home. Nobility builds what i would consider, a lower end home. The construction it has 2x4 exterior walls 16oc #2 grade lumber, 2x6 floor joists, I would recommend going with wind zone 3, that would give you your roof, floors, and walls all on 16oc. It costs about 1100.00 for the upgrade. Nobility is like alot of homes, the more the upgrades, the bigger the price. They are cheaper money wise than alot of homes in florida. They are built in Ocala, and have about 100 floor plans to choose from. As far as cost here in Fl. the first 5,000.00 you only pay 50.00 in tax, then 6% after that. I hope i answered your questions, if you want to see alot of their floor plans go to www.homesofnobility.com. If you have any more questions, i will look for your posts.
Re: nobility homes
Again...no such thing as "factory direct" sales...It is true that some factories own some dealerships...Prestige Housing is owned by Nobility....BUT..the factory sells homes to the dealership arm for the same price they sell them to other dealers..There is NO middleman in this industry..
Actually often times factory store have higher prices than the same home can be had from a locally owned indepentent dealer...This is because factory owned dealerships have much higher costs of operation with various levels of management..employees with no investment..on and on..
There are many factory owned dealerships in Florida..
Palm Harbor ownes most of its dealerships..Also Fleetwood, Oakwood (soon to be Clayton), Clayton and Horton all have factory stores in Florida..I would not be surprised if there were even more..And..I think Champion..the owner of Homes of Merit has some factory stores in FL..
