getting Financing/looking for home
getting Financing/looking for home
My husband and I are interested in purchasing mobile home or manufactured home however most of the areas we looked at where not that great. We currently live in Coral Springs, Fl we like the newer mobile home no older than 3-5 yr old, needs to be 3/2... We are also having the hardest time finding out about financing most of the commerical banks like Bank of America and Washington Mutual won't do loans for mobile homes. Your help with any information you may have would be greatly appreciated we would like to move out of the duplex we live now (we are currently renting) by hopefully Dec. Need help Please!!!!
Re: getting Financing/looking for home
Are you looking to live in a community or land?? If in a park, there is a link on this website for different service companies.

Re: getting Financing/looking for home
Contigent on type of home, how old it is, your down payment, and your credit score. If your FICO is less than 600 you can almost forget it. Most terms are capped to 180-240 months and interest rates run at least 3-4 basis points higher than conventional mortgages (Deemed Personal Property). Again this website provides name of service companies that have links to lenders, most lenders in the MH industry will not deal directly with the customer. You can do that or try a local home broker. If you prefer a direct contact w/a bank, keep looking you'll find someone depending what area you live in. Good Luck.
