Plant Visit

I'm going to visit a Liberty plant in Kansas tomorrow. Will I really get a true picture of what they do or will they be putting on a show? I'm taking my dad along so that he can help point out things that I might not want in my house. Any pointers on what I should look for?

A plant tour is one of the best ways to get a full idea of what you are getting...There will be no special show..workers will likely not even know you are there....

Let them show you the good parts...Observe exactly what is in the hidden area...Observe the final finish...Look close at the general attitude of the workers...You get the point..Good Luck

It was an all day road trip, but it was worth it. Liberty uses the particleboard for floor decking but they will upgrade to T & G plywood or OSB. Same with plastic sinks & fixtures, they will upgrade. I didn't like the way the vinyl siding looked, but they also offer a hardy plank, which is 70% concrete. It looks like painted wood & is supposed to be wet & dry rot proof & bug proof. Just have to find out if it's going to be out of my budget to put it on my house. Overall, we were impressed with the construction. I think I probably will go with the Liberty & make sure that I do the upgrades that will make a difference.
I really appreciate this website and the experts' feedback. I have learned a lot. I feel it has really helped me to make an informed decision.
I got my permit yesterday for my road access to my property. Step 1 of who knows how many. I will keep you posted on my progress!
