here's what i don't get--

we have looked at patriot, champion, fleetwood, solitaire, skyline and karsten. we found a manufacturer, dealer and floorplan that we really liked and were ready to go--but the patriot floorplan we chose was discontinued in may. now, we're back to square one. so here's my question--if you take a fleetwood and do it like a patriot-with the osb, the plywood floors, the higher insulation, the 2x6 and 2x4 walls and all the other stuff of quality construction--what is the difference between the products? is it something unseen, like the wood used for trusses or the way the marriage line is put together or what? or is it a confidence thing, meaning that you trust one manufacturer more than another to build it with care and to build it as ordered?
thanks.

It is hard to answer all that is different...It could be almost all of the thousands of parts in the units...

If the Fleetwood standards are way lower than the Patriot..then most likely the differences are much more than a few options...you cannot make a silk purse out of a sows ear..is the old saying...

If quality features are what you want..you may have to comprimise with the floor paln...call the plant about the floorplan you liked...maybe they will still build it for the dealer...
