Fleetwood Entertainer
Fleetwood Entertainer
We are thinking of purchasing the Fleetwood Entertainer model and would like to know if anyone has had any experience with either this model or another Fleetwood manufactured home or with the company itself. Thanks.
Re: Fleetwood Entertainer
I did look at one and was impressed..., but that was 5 months ago before I ordered
Randy's book and learned a few things. The construction was not equal to the
eye candy inside.
Think about this too. Would you go to Circuit City and finance a big screen TV
for 30 years? In essence you do so when you buy this home. Use the money you
save in home repairs to pay cash for one by picking another brand.
good luck

Re: Fleetwood Entertainer
No, you wouldnt finance a TV for 30 years..However, we look at it as paying 49,000 for the home and the rest were "given" to us by Fleetwood to buy the house.......since if I sell it.........It says no where that I have to leave the TV, washer & dryer, Refrigerator all in the house....it's my option.......so no, I won't be financing a TV for 30 years(10 year mortgage).........in any event we have been in our house since sept and love it!!!!!!!
oh and by the way, Johnny did you get any upgrades done to your house by the manufacturer? If you did, you have financed them for 30 years.......and almost all upgrades with the exception of structural can be done yourself, much cheaper.

Re: Fleetwood Entertainer
...proving once again, that two people can see something with entirely different perspectives. Here is a third:
Add up the cost of the construction and the added features, and ask yourself if that is worth the price paid. Some folks will prefer a big-screen TV, others will prefer upgrade carpet or appliances.

Re: Fleetwood Entertainer
Pretty much every mfr can make this floorplan - it's very popular...I'd find the mfr you like the best and then go around...You may find better than Fleetwood.

Re: Upgrades
You missed the point. The construction upgrades are the ones that count. The
other upgrades that could be put in are secondary.
Yes, you can remove the appliances when you decide to sell, and really limit the
salibility of your home. Some financing can't be done without certain appliances
installed, and some people wouldn't buy it that way.
If you are happy with your home that's all that matters. I personally don't care
for the way the base "Entertainer " is constructed.
