Patriot Homes

Does anyone know anything about Patriot Homes? My wife & I are thinking of buying a new one and wanted to know if anyone had problems with them. Either in the construction or in dealing with the sales dept. We are talking with a dealer in East Texas. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

My wife and I are looking at the "Duncan" 32X80 model in the Pinnacle series.
They seem to have all the right construction; 2X6 ext walls, 2X8 floor joists, door
hinges, water cutoffs, etc. And they do an excellent job on their tape and textured
walls with great trim. Seems to be a quality home inside and out.

They seem to sell even better looking models in Texas.

I was impressed with the construction of the Crystal Valley line from Patriot.

Also the standard features of that line.

I don't know if you can get the Crystal Valley line by Patriot in Texas though.

I live in Northeast Arkansas. I think the two finest quality homes available in my area are Fuqua and Patriot. There is also a Schult dealer in my area, but I do not like the attitude of them. I've tried to get info and can't. They say "You have to make an appointment to come in, then we'll talk." I am not going to make an appointment to go to this dealer because, first: their attitude is wrong, and second: I'm just gathering info, and its a long drive. I would have liked to have gotten some info on Schult Homes, but I can't without making an appointment to go see a couple of uppity negros ( no offense, anybody ).

The Crystal Valley line is top notch. HeritageAmerican is slightly better.
Crystal has added some excellant features, standard 5/12 roof, and zillion options such as Hardi siding, flat ceilings, 8 foot sidewalls, 7/12 roof, finished drywall throughout.

2x6 exterior walls, interior walls are 16" on center, but still 2x3's, OSB floor decking on mine, but Novaflor is standard (ugh).

Mine is a '99 Jackson Cove, set up in upper Michigan. With the past winter being extremely cold, low temps of -20 for most of January and February, my highest heat bill (natural gas) was $82. R-33 in the attic, R-19 walls and R14 floor.

Crystal Valley's warranty service is top notch. Never a problem.
