Steel studs in Hawaii homes....sm

This is such a great idea. I've heard that regular home builders are using steel studs also because lumber has become so expensive. It's stronger and rot- and termite-proof and cheaper, so why don't they just use it in all houses, especially MH to increase the structural strength?
