Hello -

I just moved into the fleetwood entertainer 3 weeks ago and so far so good. I love the house. It was built in the elizabethtown pa plant. We have had some minor problems that have been rectified from the dealer. Although I have some advise, do not get the Coleman gas heater installed, everyone tells me they are junk and as a matter of fact we can't get this one working. the propane dealer is coming on tuesday. we also opted for the 2x6 walls.
the house is great and fleetwood as well as the dealer have been very helpful. we even called fleetwood about 2 items the factory didn't install and problems with some windows that had the frame damaged when the house settled. fleetwood had someone out here in 3 days to repair and install everything.although they won't touch the heater...........

Thanks for some encouraging words about Fleetwood. Nice for a change. We have chosen to go with a retailer in our area that has been est. for 30 years and now are chosing our home and they carry Fleetwood so we will be getting a Fleetwood. Good Luck

We are getting the Entertainer model too. We fell in love with it when we saw it. I was concerned about buying a Fleetwood after all the posts I saw in this forum, but after looking for over 2 years and not finding a floor plan that we liked, plus the lack of good quality mobile homes in our area, we were pretty limited in our choices. I'm glad that someone is happy with this model, gives me reason to hope it will turn out ok. We are upgrading the roof pitch, getting a whirlpool, and the full drywall package. Wish we could do more upgrades, but our limited budget doesn't allow it. We are also getting some small walls removed, in the master bedroom and bath, and living room, plus a few other changes. Just wish our financing would go through so we could get started on this.....Anne

I looked at The Entertainer and really LOVED that huge den. The Georgia dealership I went to will even throw in a big-screen TV with it. What I didn't like was the eat-in kitchen as opposed to a "formal" dining room, but other than that, the house was beautiful. I can see where that separate den could prevent a lot of family squabbles - you could banish the younger children/teenagers to that area where they can rough-house or watch TV, and maintain peace and quiet in the kitchen/living room area. There's a lot to be said for that.

Hey Guys,
Thanks for all the input. I was just wondering from all the posts is if there are different plans for the Entertainer. The floor plan I have is a 4 bedroom/2bath home with kitchen, dining area, living room and what they call an activity room that comes with a fireplace, built in big screen tv and built in shelves for your stereo equipment. This also comes with a dvd player and the kitchen has an island and built in hutch in the dining area. Price is 59,900.

Hi Anne,
I was just wondering what the going price is for changing the walls to drywall? Are you doing all the rooms in drywall or just the main living areas.

From what I understand the series is different from each and everyone of the plants nationwide...
7x12 roofs are not available from many and finished sheetrock is also not always available..
Construction specs vary quite a bit...hence the price ranges mentioned in these posts..
Important to remember...Fleetwood does not equal Fleetwood..

The model we are getting isn't the one you are talking about with the 4 bedrooms, activity room, etc. We are getting the Entertainer model # 4723B which is 28x72. It has a corner fireplace, huge main bathroom, big front entry, both a family and living room, and a huge master bedroom. There are at least those 2 models in the Entertainer series. Anyway, it's going to cost us roughly 4700 for the full drywall package. That includes drywall throughout with the exception of closets. We are also upgrading to a 5/12 roof pitch which will cost roughly 2300. We are in MI if that makes a difference. Anne

Yes, I just found out today that there's a 3-bedroom Entertainer model as opposed to the 4-bedroom model that I looked at which had the large activity room on the end with the free TV, surround-sound, etc. thrown in. I haven't seen the 3-bedroom version which lists for 63,999 (why don't they just say $64,000?!??) but will make a trip up to the dealership in Blue Ridge, GA to see this version. I have a complaint about the Dawsonville, GA dealership though which I will detail in a separate post on this forum.
