Homes of Legend, Homes of Merit??

I've been looking at a Homes of Legend house. I did a search and found nothing about them on this forum. Are they possibly only a regional brand? The guy at the lot said this particular one was "custom built", i.e., there is no "stock" floor plan for it. Could they be manufactured by the same company that manufactures "Homes of Merit"? This is in the South.

NO....Homes of Legend is a cheap copy of the real thing...I think this factory is owned by American Homestar......If so they are in Chapter 11 bankruptcy...Check it out carefully..

Don't know where you are in Georgia, but you might also want to check out Southern Energy Homes at Carefree Homes in Athens, GA. I really liked those homes and you can alter the floorplans to your own specs. There's also an Adrian HOmes dealership in Athens - I've forgotten the name, and also a Wayne's World of Homes that carries Sunshine and other brands- they're all pretty close to each other. - I think they're on US Hwy 29.

No but the product available in GA is the same as the whole SE...Here in GA we have homes built in FL, GA, AL, MS, TN, NC,VA ....and 1 built in SC...

GA is the biggest producer of homes in the SE,,,,They go all over the area from here...
