I've been seeing advertisements here in Georgia for "systems built" housing, which I think is modular housing, but I'm not sure. Supposedly, it's a new process that's the "wave of the future." I believe this particular company is building a couple of subdivisions. From the website pictures, the houses look just like site-built homes with high pitched roofs and other features, but there's no information about cost per square foot. I suspect that they're significantly higher in price than manufactured homes. Can somebody explain how this type of house is different from manufactured housing?
Thanks

Re: Systems Built vs. man. homes
You are probably right....The term is probably just a marketing persons name for modular home...You are probably right about the price too...
In Georgia modulars are built to a state code and come in many price and quality ranges..All residential modulars in GA are off frame (means they need a perimeter foundation)....besides this...the rules are very basic...Check them out..
