Twice Removed

Thank you for not allowing my comments on your open forum. It tends to further my opinion that certain manufacturers cannot be put down on your site. I have only stated the truth in each and every word I've put on the forum, however, it is not what you wanted the forum for.

There's an old Turkish proverb that says, "He who speaks the truth is chased out of nine villages." I think you've just witnessed the truth of that saying. If this site starts removing posts simply because of bad PR, then the site is of no use to me. I'm coming here for accurate information - good AND bad!

We are electronic publishers. We are linked to many companies web sites but are NOT involved in the building or retailing of homes. We operate these forums in the hope of shedding light on the problems that MH owners experience. This is an open forum BUT as the operators we do have a responsibility to filter entries and remove obscenities, spam and flames.

Obscenity is not just nasty words, but includes hate comments. Flames are a high volume of comments that have no other value but to overwhelm the reader with the writer point of view.

Richard's recent comments were removed because he has relentlessly flamed Skyline, repeated the same claims over and over and over and over and over and over. We repeatedly advised Richard of the correct process set up by the federal code to address his claim..

We are NOT practicing censorship here. Richards original submissions (lots of them) listing his opinion and perception of responsibility for problems with his home remain in place, on line. BUT we have no option but to remove obscene commentary. Richards recent entries are obscene as they do nothing but spout hate for the builder, without even a mention of a single problem he had.

Richard - I'm truly sorry that your having a problem with your home and with Skyline. We have heard about your problem and have tried to point you in the direction that we feel would help you the most. Your recent comments don't tell about your problems with your home or your attempts at corrective measures, you don't even mention your home. Instead of constructive comments you have been taking every chance you can to take cheep shots. Your comments have degraded to nasty mud slinging, and we wont let these forums decline to that level, or degrade down to a personal sounding board.

It is my greatest hope that forum participants will scan thru the forums we offer and read Richards and other prior entries telling of buyer-builder conflicts then return here to comment on how you feel about our editorial policy.

I TRULY appologies , as many of my comments HAVE been overwhelming to many folks. I get carried away with the moment and have allowed too much hatred to be set forth in your forum. My comments will be made without the nasty comments. My appologies to your readers, to Randy, and to David...

Thank you Richard for trying to protect other people when buying a home. I think everyone wants to know what to watch out for, and your comments are helpfull. (And a bit zealous, but helpful.) Obviously you speak with great emotion and care about other people. I sincerely hope you get all your problems worked out. How about a few positive commnets about Skyline. Is there anything you really LIKE about the home? Thanks.
