Buying a castle

Post by missy » Sat Apr 13, 2002 7:50 pm

I will be purchasing a new castle with 3/4 osb in the floor and the 7/12 attic storage does any one know how good they are . I have been to three different retailers the second dealer cannot match the price and the third say he can beat it only by 500.dollars if I sign now. Guess I missed on that because I donot go into a deal that way. Then he said he would give me 3 days to make up my mind.
The thing is he also will drywall the home for 1/2 of what the others want. Should I be worried.

Price is important but what are you getting for the dollars? Does the price from each retailer include set up and delivery? What does the set up include? You mentioned drywall, almost all drywall cracks to some extent after the home settles. Does the price for the retailer return within a year to fix cracks that appear?
Does the price include the foundation?
You can see where I am going, the lowest price may not be the best price. Also, DO NOT deal with anyone who will not put all the promises in writing. If it is not written is does not count.
Honest and good retailers will put everything in writing, the others we don't need in the business.
