Novadeck

What is it with Novadeck that some people don't like "pressboard" and tell you to stay away from Novadeck and others, say it is a "good Product."

The policy that an unnamed builder only used Novadeck in it's homes has lead me to make a different choice in homes during my research for a future home.

Opinions please!

Go with whatever subfloor you are most comfortable with. It won't be worth it to save a few bucks if you are always worrying about the subfloor each time you step out of the tub.

My opinion only.

NOVADeck. Another fancy name for particle board and the absolute worst material to use for any part of a house you want to keep for 2 or more years. My Skyline MH has it. Need more info? [email protected]

My suggestion would be to go to a used home store and look at 5 to 8 year old homes before they have been reconditioned..Novo deck is the only floor that I have seen many times fall completely through...I have never seen large areas of floor affected by moisture with plywood and osb..I have seen some of these that needed some attention...but the repairs were very easy and inexpensive...Aren't you ready to buy yet...Interest rates are slowly beginning to rise...There will be no better time than now..

Good Luck
