1973 Vindale

I am considering purchasing a 1973 Vindale home in a Southern NH park. I am looking for a home as opposed to an investment. The home seems to have been very well cared for. I'm still concerned with the age (in general), and with the limited amount of insulation (R3?). Can insulation be added in any way? Is there a place to get info on Vindale? Is that the company name and is it still in operation?

Vindale was the very top of the line home of the time...With proper care they should be fine for many more years to come...They are no longer in operation...

I doubt that you have a good insulation rating on the home...As I remember they had much more insulation than this standard...Insulation disclosure forms were not used at the time...It could be the disclosure you are getting is low to protect the seller of the home just in case...You can add more insulation to the home if you want..

Of course a careful inspection is in order because of the age...Just like a stick built you might want to arrange for a professional home inspection to advise you of any hidden problems you might not be aware of..That said..You should be able to enjoy this home for many years to come..Good Luck

Thanks. I signed a P&S on the home today and am feeling good about this decision. Your words help put me at ease. It does look to be in very good condition, and the purchase is conditional on inspection. I appreciate your help.
