hello...i am currently looking at buying a double-wide home. i was wondering if anyone can give me assistance on the re-sale values or the holding power of these homes. i am looking at a 1600 sq ft home in the $70,000 range. would it be worth me buying a double-wide, putting it on a rental lot in a park if i am looking to sell in 2 to 5 yrs? any help form anyone who has had this situation or is knowledgeable in this matter would be appreciated. thanks.

Resale is always in the location...Some parks...few right now..are very desired locations...In this case resale will be ok...BUT..the park MUST be very desirable...such as some in CA, FL or highly desired adult parks..
For the most part..resale of a double in a park is very hard..You would be much better putting the double on a piece of land and then resell the whole package when the time comes...You can finance the package..with less down payment than home only finance and the rate will be much lower...Making your overall monthly expense less than a double in a park..not to mention the resale advantage..
