Am I in the right market?

Post by Andy » Mon Dec 31, 2001 12:09 pm

I'm a first time buyer. This Saturday, I visited Heritage Homes in Avondale, PA. They also have a site in the Lancaster, PA area. All the homes that I saw looked like mobile homes plopped down on patches of grass. Champion Homes was the manufacturer. Are there any manufacturers of these types homes that have a less mobilehomish look. I am looking for a masonry facade. Should I be looking at modular home, panelized home, pre-cut or stick with the more conventional developments.

Just my opinion, I believe you should be looking at modular home, panelized home, pre-cut or stick with the more conventional developments. You will, of course, pay more per square foot for these styles. The brick facade will be added after any of these homes are set on a lot. Hopefully, you will own the land this home will be set on.
