Redman New Moon Residential??
Redman New Moon Residential??
My wife and I are looking at getting a new Redman New Moon Residential with all finished drywall and putting it on a basement. Does anyone have any feed back on this home (good or bad). It seems to be built very well, comes standard with osb floor. Any comments would be appreciated.
Re: Redman New Moon Residential??
Hello Curt,
I like Redman’s new series called the New Moon. This home has drywall throughout and 2x8 floors in their 32' wide models with 2x6 exterior wall construction. They also have a 30lb. roof load and 12" overhangs. Their walls are 8 feet high with flat ceilings this gives the home a residential look inside. I would increase the R-factors and up-grade to a 4-12 or 5-12 roof pitch. I would place this series into the, "Quality Construction Category." You can expect to pay about $40 to $50 a square for this series and they are definitely appealing to the mid-range and upper-end buyers. I like their floor plans but wish they built a three-sectioned home but you can't have everything. If you place this home on a basement or concrete foundation it will appreciate very well. Just be sure to add lap siding and a 4-12 roof pitch for residential appeal, this will really increase the value of the home. Hope this answers your questions.
