2002 Fleetwood
2002 Fleetwood
My husband and I are considering purchasing a manufactured home from our local Fleetwood dealer. The home is 28x76 and I believe it is called either the Entertainer or 21st Century model. Does anyone have any information on the quality of this home, or price range.

Keep shopping!! Ask lots of construction standards questions!! They won't tell if you don't ask! How much insulation? R-ratings? 2x6 exterior walls? Length of warranty on the siding and the roof? etc. Educate yourself and compare them to others. Be sure you know what all is included in the price and get it in writing!! Fleetwood is less expensive than some but you need to ask yourself "why?"

Hello Jamie,
Fleetwood is average when it comes to construction but you can up-grade and bring a Fleetwood into the quality construction category. I would recommend purchasing my book this will help you select the right manufacturer. You can order it on the main page of this web site. Merry Christmas.

In the hunt for a manufactured home. A little confused on where to start. I know the type of floor plan I like, but I lack the knowledge when it comes down to the quality of a house (construction).
Can you give me a few pointers...................Please!
Thank You

Fleetwood is a bad mfg. They take 1x2's and staple them together amd make a 2x4, Beware!! We will see how long it takes to pull this advice, This web page hates the truth or slamming a mfg.Or so it seems

We are considering a Fleetwood Entertainer (4 BR 2 BA model). Has anyone tried to make changes for disability accessibility? I'm thinking especially of taking out the shower shell in the master bath and making a shower that my dh could slide from his wheelchair onto a shower bench, adding grab bars in the shower and by the toilet, and taking out the vanities from underneath the bathroom sinks. How responsive is Fleetwood to accessibility changes?
Also I hate where they want to put the basement stairs. Has anyone successfully gotten them to change the location, like along the living room wall? I'd much rather lose a few feet in the LR than in a child's bedroom.
