If you are referring to Hallmark Southwest Corporation's Manufactured Homes, then I have some information to share.
We have toured the plant, spoke with the owner and some of the employees, and rest assured, they are manufactured homes, not modular.
What do you base the figure of $55 per square foot cost as a criteria for this forum? If you perceive an upper dollar limit, what is the bottom dollar limit?

Please do not associate Hallmark's quality product with the previous message's inaccurate cost per square foot.
Our home cost less than $51 per square foot.
Every day, we happily live within the quality for which we invested our hard earned money.

Hello Randy,

I too, have seen Hallmark Modular website. They are located in the east, but then, most everything is east of us in San Diego.

Hallmark Southwest Corporation is in Loma Linda, CA. No website and the hard to find, abbreviated photocopy of a brochure is short on information, but has very small pencil floor plan drawings:(
Investing our money on a Hallmark had to be validated by our dealer, the factory tour and meeting the people who would build our home.
My wife and I like to think that this family owned business spends their advertising dollar not on advertising, but on their homes.

Randy, I grew up in the manufactured housing business. My grandfather owned 5 sucessful retailers in the midwest and 2 in the southwest, I was always around him and my father. I know what I am talking about and I think you are only going by researching the web sites. I now work as an engineer witha major railroad company and when ever I am in a certain state I do my homework and check out a nearby manufactured housing facility. So I know my product. My grandfather sold home that are made by Lancer Homes, Century Housing Corporation, Marlette Homes, Craftmade Homes of Texas, Solitaire Homes, Continnential Homes, Bonnavilla Homes, Fuqua Homes and Franklin Homes just name a few. So I did my home by touring the manufactured housing facility, not the web site! Have a good day.

Terry you sound like you know a lot about the industry. I too have toured many factories and have written a book on the industry. Gee I even moderate this discussion board. When you mentioned Hallmark homes you never indicated they didn't have a web site. I never heard of the company and when I tried to look them up I found Hallmark homes in California but they were a modular company a simple mistake on my part and for that I am sorry. I find it hard to believe a company that you claim to be one of the best in CA. has no web site. Thanks Doug for giving all of us the address, now those reading these posts can contact them if they are interested.
