wiggle room

We are in the process of putting a 2100 sq ft home on 2-acres of ground. Foundation, well, septic, etc. Already been pre-approved from the bank and not to happy with the monthly mortgage amount they’re talking about. There will be some negotiating on the price of the land, but when push comes to shove does anyone know how much the dealers have homes marked up. I don't mean a lot model, but one we are going to order. I'm sure they have some wiggle room, but I'm not sure how much.
Thanks Dan

If you are special ordering the home, depending of the retailer, you might have some room to talk. There is no blanket answer, nothing ventured nothing gained. But, keep in mind if you want to lower the price of the home you can always look at the options your getting and see if some things can go. Also, if you haven't yet signed any papers you are still free to shop around and see what other retailers offer.
Many retailers are more likely to want to "talk" price on a lot model home as that home is usually costing money in financing.
You might also want to see if some other bank will offer you lower interest on your loan.

Hello Dan,

I would encourage you to get yourself a copy of my book, "How to buy a manufactured home and save thousands of dollars." You can order on this site on the main page.
