I would like to know what is the BEST or better manufactured home on the market today as far as construction basement ready with 2x8 walls, the best construction on flooring, roof, insulation, etc.?
We are purchasing a home this year (2003) and will place on a full basement on our 4.5 acres. I have seen HART HOMES and they have 2x8 walls, which is what we are looking for.

2 by 8 wall studs? Sure that isn't 2 by 6?
Anyway, to answer your question,you need to find a manufacturer that can option an home the way you want it.The better ones will,and the mainstream bargin names don't much.Get your list together and start hitting dealer lots in your area,it shouldnt take you to long to narrow it down.Post back with your results then.
