SOLD

Post by judy » Thu May 29, 2003 8:50 pm

Well I think we finally sold our MH. It's only been on the market for over a year. And we have LOST A TON. But, I really have a beef with the real estate agent. I was looking out the window, and this REA took two people across the street and then to the house next door, and went right past ours. My husband and I were on the front porch and I asked him to call them over. The two people came over, came in the house and bought it. We had a set price for the commission, but when she wrote up the offer she crossed off that amount and put 2% more. She didn't even what to show it, and never even came in the house. I know this board is mostly about MH, BUT watch out for the REA. I am just glad this is almost over, I hope. Now we can get on with our life in the Trinity Mts. If I have one suggestion to anyone, DO NOT AND I MEAN DO NOT BUY A MH IN A PARK. Find some land and then buy. But do not get caught in the crosshairs of a park, Sorry this is so long, but I just had to vent on this whole transaction.

If the real estate agent really changed the commission during a transaction, you
should first, notify the broker of the agent involved, and second file a complaint
with the state real estate board. What the agent did is unethical, and the agent
should at a minimum be fired by the broker.

Not to mention increasing a Commission at the time a offer to Purchase/Purchase Agreement is signed is Illegal.

Must admit though, I am in the Industry Judy, have to agree with you on the Community Issue... It has just gotten out of control here in Michigan, Lot rent is now as high as my 400 plus House payment, and we don't have any amenities, no pool, tennis courts nothing! I realize for the most part you don't use them, but, when buying it is something people think they want. Congrats!

Thanks all, when our REA crossed our her commission and we signed the papers she didn't do anything. I thought she would put up a stink, so we just let it go. About the fire Sabrina, we had already bought the house, and the fire came within 2 miles of us, we live in junction city, but it got a lot of weaverville, not the historical part, but in the back of the town. Thank you very much. I understand the fire was very bad. We are packing now, and should be gone by the end of the month, will keep you informed.
