MOBILE HOME HELP

Post by judy » Thu Apr 10, 2003 9:52 pm

Hi,
I am trying to sell my MH. Does anyone have any good ideas on how to improve the inside. I have a two bedroom, two bath, living room, dining room, family room. All the walls have that darn paneling. I don't want to paint them. But can one suggest some things I can do to make it better. Thanks

Actually, you can paint the paneling. It gives a farmhouse sort of appearance; we really liked it. Lighter colors also make rooms look bigger. If you do this, it would be best to apply a coat of primer first.

Why not put wall board up 1/4" X 4' X 8' it also helps insulate and deaden sound much better. I did mine and am I glad I did.

We recently bought a mobile in a Resort Community. It is old and needed some up-dating with out spending a fortune, I personally do not like paneling at all... Too dark, we primed and painted light colors. What a difference! I'd highly recccomend it!

Thanks for all your help. I hear of another way to decorate the walls. You can use material and put liquid starch, hang up the material on the walls, and when you want to change just pull down the material, cute idea.
