Moving Costs

Post by Theresa » Mon Apr 03, 2006 9:57 am

I have looked everywhere I can think of on the web and under every topic I can think of and I can find no information regarding ball-park figures for the moving costs associated with moving a trailer. My husband and I are trying to figure out if it would be better to take a $5,000 loss for selling our home or if moving it to 350 miles would be comparable. I am really at a loss here. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

The expense of moving the home on the highway, is only the small part of the total bill. The tear down and set up of the home at the new location is the geatest portion of the total. This can only be quoted by the mover seeing the site, and formulating a plan for the move. Call local movers from your area for a quote. If you can not find them in the yellow pages, call a local home sales center, and then will be able to give you their names.

Thank you...but I guess what I am looking for is a guestimate about whether it would be comparable to sell the mobile home or move it...I was hoping someone with experience moving their home from a lot to land with a foundation would give an account of their cost and experience...
Thanks!
