palm harbor are made great , We looked at them the sales pitch us sitting in their office they were trying to tell us what we needed, BS we know what we wanted, I know they get around a 100.00 for every prospect that sits there and listens to their rehersed sales song,,,,
We ask about skylites, This lady who looked as if she came from a Holloween Mask Party ( Witch ) She Says " Oh we don't put Cutesies in our homes " You will have to contact a contractor,,,,,, Rude as hell if you will, Then after checking with the BBB we seen their office had a Complaint matter of fact several, I contacted them about this,, They said we are not aware of this ,, BS they get a copy of it via USPS!!!!!, Like I stated we have some close friends who purchased the PH and they are not at all happy,,,,,, Needless to say we stayed away from the PH Village Good Luck!!!! -----

Can you tell me which city the Palm Harbor dealership was located that the complaints are on file at, more specifically which BBB was the complaint filed with. I've looked, and I cant find any complaints registered against PH..or Palm Harbor Village, but I would be interested in taking a look...thanks.

Sorry Don....The picture you saw of the PH after the storm did not also show the Jacobsons and Homes of Merits that also survived the storm in the same park...

This is major misinformation about this storm that is constantly mentioned...They forget to tell you that there were PH, Jac and HM that were also destroyed...along with 100,000 stick builts and condos...This was a bad storm and all homes directly in its path had damage...

Im not going to argue the point about the picture...its just another sales tactic, the main reason I purchased a PH is the construction, I researched heavily, and they were the best constructed I found.

I know HOM, and several others are constructed well to, but those were not in my area. As far as price,I shopped around, the home I found was a 2002 model (76H2) on the lot, it was being clearenced (56,000), because they needed to bring the newer model in,believe me there was no room on that lot for another home unless one sold. The price that other dealers were offering was 74K for the same home.

My total came to 109K on 2.5 acres of land with all the improvements......but buying raw land to put a home on has been work, all in all a very educational process :)

Ask any stick built owner was just what I was thinking while reading this link. My daughter and son-in-law recently purchased a 240K stick. I was amazed! Poor drywall work, low end light fixtures. Missing lnlaid numbers in the brick (house address) Unfinished molding all around the kitchen... And, many othr things. Being in the MH business for many years... I just thought, i'd never seen such shoddy work in them. The Builder is the most known in the area... Known for his high end workmanship..... In comparasion... There was none.

The BBB report you referenced is not accurate. The current report available on the BBB/Central Indiana web-site is correct - the one shown here is not. Please update your records.
