Ceiling cracks on textured ceiling

I moved a home and have some cracks in the textured ceiling. Some are substantial ( 1/4 inch) some are minor. Is there an easy way to repair them or do you have to sand all the texture down, re-tape, and mud, then paint and re-texture?
Thanks . I would image this is somewhat common as most mobile homes have textured ceilings and many are moved.

i am having the same problems what is the cause of this? what can you do to fix it?
