Tankless Water Heater

Does anyone have experience/knowledge of installing a tankless gas water heater in a MH. IF it's not wise to install it where the orginal water heater is located, how about in a 12 X 15 room (its an addition--a pantry between the home and detached garage) and reroute the water lines. Thanks

I have a tankless WH that is electric and we have problems with it, pops circuit breakers. The only one I would put in would be gas and they are great. Our electric one is in the same place as the water heater was, if you use gas it needs to well shielded because the startup temp is higher than a regular water heater. If you are going to go with a tankless be sure you get one that is large enough.

Would the problem of popping circuit breakers can be resolved in having a dedicated line just for the electric heater. I'm also looking into an electric tankless water heater.

I would think that a dedicated circuit would fix the problem, make sure the wire and breaker are large enough to handle the heater requirements. From the info I have gathered it seems that a gas heater cost less to operate. I'm not sure of what modifications would be necessary if I installed it in the location of the gas heater that came with the house. Surely some of the manufactures have looked into this option.

We are looking to switch to a tankless water heater in our mobile home. We have a '96 champion (24X40) and are a family of four. Could anyone give me advice, based on their experience, what size, etc. would be best for us? All the literature is aimed at traditional homes from what I can see! All info. would be greatly appreciated!
