I am still in the "looking" process and what I am wondering is, what type of flooring is best? I have mostly seen "plywood" as the underfloor and so am wondering if there is something better I should be looking for? I am not talking about flooring such as carpeting, but moreso about the subflooring.
If i have posted this in the wrong forum, I apologize.
Thanks for any help offered!

Ask all the questions you have..Informed buyers will be happy home owners...
The best floors will have floor joists on 16 inch centers...2x6 or 2x8's...3/4 inch plywood tongue and groove sub floors is in all the best homes....3/4 inch OSB is also a good floor but not better...stay away from the press board products.....
The best few bucks you can spend is to visit the book store here and buy the books from Randy Eaton or John Grissim,,, Both will help you decide what of the thousands of features available you should have in your home....The costs of these books are small compared o the possible mistakes one can make..Check out the bookstore today...
