remodeling or fixing mh

My husband and I are considering a mh. If we decide to purchase one and it has to be remodeled do we have to purchase things from a manufactured home place or can you purchase things at a regular home improvement store. Are windows and doors the same size as a site built home?

Generally, the doors are shorter in MH. but most Home Depots or lowes carry them.
Window sizes are generally available as well. Everthing else is pretty standard fair, unless the home is really old and real low end.
If you do need something odd, most areas have MH part stores to carry odd stuff.

You can order just about any thing you need for that home renovation or repair, from our on-line parts store. Everything you need is here from doors, windows, screens, plumbing and electric parts, bath and kitchen fixtures, roof and ceiling components, and much more than I could list here. My modular home is 9 years old and I am having trouble with my back door, would it be best to change it out with a door made for Modular homes or with a regular house door. I don't want it to look like I just made a quick fix.How do I measure to get a good fit with either type of door.

Doors are generally sized by call size, and rough opening. This is the distance between the 2x4's along side of the door. The most popular size is a 34 x 76. The actual door with the jambs will measure 33 1/2 x 75 1/2, thus a call size of 34 x 76.
