How can I remove my pop-up drain stopper? Every time I shower, the tub fills with water. I would like to remove the stopper to clean it out but I can't figure it out. It's a Kohler pop-up drain. Please help. I tried to push it down and un-screw it but that's not working. Thanks. Gina

If you have a standard Kohler drain, is is connected to the overflow which facilitates the trip lever to stop the water flow. You have to remove the face plate, which will provide access to the lifting rod. This is adjustable and can be shortened or lengthened to allow the water to pass. If requires some playing around with to get it just right.
