The easiest is with a water level...and you level the top of the piers under the home..
Re: Leveling a Mobil Home
Good Morning from South of San Antonio TX. We have a 97 32X52 Shult built double wide. We bought it new and last year noticed sagging doors and squeaks appearing in various places. My brother who lived in a park was solicited by a company that was installing a single wide and leveling it to do his after the ground dried up. They were referred to me and came out into the country where we have pretty sandy loam type soil. They said they leveled the trailer with a water level. I have seen but don't remember how to make one of my own. Our place has settled and doors are sticking again along with more squeeks. Is there a place to start the leveling process i.e. the highest point and level up to that or what would you suggest. We have an 8" to 10" gravel pad that was watered and rolled to compact prior to installing the home in 1998. But, I think the ground still moves some causing the settling. Thanks ahead of time for your help. I have other questions but will take care of them one at a time. Jeff Saferite
Re: Leveling a Mobil Home
Releveling a manufactured home can be very dangerous and should not be attempted by anyone that has never done this before, with out the personal direction of an experienced home installation technician.
If your home is in need of releveling check out the Releveling Kit from Aberdeen Repair. You will get step-by-step directions about the leveling process. The Kit also includes a waterline level.
Even If your not going to do the releveling yourself, then use these instructions and the enclosed waterline level to determine whether or not your home is out of level. Or you can simply use this information to become a better-informed consumer and give yourself the upper hand when it comes to hiring a contractor to do the job.
The detailed instructions will show you how to do the following: learn the causes of why your home becomes unlevel learn how to set-up, calibrate and read a waterline level determine where your home is unlevel and by how much learn what to watch-out for before, during and after releveling your home learn proper jack placement learn how to safely jack-up your home

Re: Leveling a Mobil Home
Use a professional. Look in the yellow pages for mobile home set up or talk tp one you see setting a home in your park. It is only about 300.00 here in California to have it done. Its worth it to do it right.
Re: Leveling a Mobil Home
Hi, read your message, and was wondering how to level my double wide 2000 silvercrest, seems where the two units marry each other, or join each other, its not even for about eight feet, in the center, the height is different, would this be much of a problem doing that job ?
Thank you, Danny

Re: Leveling a Mobil Home
Hi,
First some background on myself. I have been in the mobilehome industry all my life, my father has been in the business for 60 years and trust me just because you hear a squeak doesn’t mean the home is out of level.
99.9% of the time when you hear a squeak it is coming from wear the lags attach the frame to the floor joist (modular homes excluded i.e. no frame)
The easiest way for anyone can judge if there home is out of level is take a look at the skirt line in most cases its been there since the home was set and if it was level when it was set and was out of level now it will show signs of stress and or buckling.
