I am new to this forum but I have owned my Greenbriar since it was new. I have had a constant problem, since it was new, with water leakage through the French rear doors and the plateau on either side of the front door. When it was new the dealer or manufacturer came out to fix it, but now I find that it has seeped water in both these places and caused ruinuos damage to my floor edges in the dining room, kitchen and living room. I know it is 15 years later, but was there ever a recalll or fix on these models that I am not aware of? Since the floors are made of particleboard you can imagine how they reacted to slow water seepage.

Hello Tim -

I'm a little surprised because Skyline has long been a frontrunner in customer satisfaction. There were some unfortunate design features in some of the older homes from almost all builders.

Many of the homes built around the same time as yours had very slight or no roof overhang. Often when it rains water cascades off the roof, in some places, directly down the sides of the home.

I am not familiar with your particular model but I am maintaining a gang or rental units from that era. When ever we have had a problem with rain intruding thru an exterior door we have been able to resolve it by adding an awning, flashed back to the roof, over the doorway. It will add a nice look to your home and move the rain water away from the house.
