Is there a listing anywhere where the mobile homes are listed from the best you can buy to the worse. Before I ever buy anything I always like to look to see how it is rated. I would think that mobile homes are rated also but I cannot find this information anywhere. Of course where ever you look the dealer is going to tell you that theirs are the best and only point out the good things that you can see.
Thanks for your help.

Re: Ratings
"How To Buy A Manufactured-Mobile Home And Save Thousands Of Dollars" is a good place to start and it is available in our book store in both hardbound and e-book editions. The author recently combined both of his best selling books, " How To Buy A Manufactured Home And Save Thousands" with his, "Manufactured Home Comparison Guide" into one book. It seemed many readers where intersted in both subjects. Now consumers can learn how to save thousands when purchasing a manufactured home along with Randy Eaton's comparison guide, which rates over 50 of the most popular builders in the United States.
Another great starting point is The Complete Buyers Guide to Manufactured Homes and Land The book is only a few years old but the information is still very fresh. What has changed, even over a few years, is the homes that are available. The The Grissim Report 2005, Rating the Top 25 Manufactured Home Builders was just released. This is the latest update of Chapter 10 that You can read as a preview here on our web site at www.mfdhousing.com/top25
Grissim’s top 25 rankings are based on the total number of HUD-code homes
that each built last year. This information was compiled from reports by industry sources, including the trade magazine Manufactured Home Merchandiser and extensive interviews with industry experts, outside observers, and consumer watchdog groups.
The entire book is now availablein both the original hardbound print edition and the newly released E-Book Edition.

Re: Ratings
Go on the internet and type the name of the manufacturer. I guarantee if the manufacturer is bad, there will be a website relfecting that. Also contact your local better business bureau and ask around.
Good Luck.
