Pet Friendly Parks

My husband and I are loking to buy in a manufactured home park where we own the land. However we are having a hard time finding one that will accept pets in Florida. Most have rules that they must be under a certain weight. we have a Black Lab and 2 small dogs ( under 8 pounds). Anywhere in Southwest Florida would be fine with us. Does anyone know of any park that would accept our animals? Thanks, M. Murphy

Hi, I know the trouble you are having. I recently purchased a mftd home in Ellenton Fl (this is a land lease commty) They accept 2 pets, no size limitations. One of the few cmmty's we found that allow pets over 25 lbs. Good luck. J

We live in a pet-semi-unfriendly park. By vote of homeowners we can have dogs but not walk them on the asphalt streets. In the dog walk area just outside of the gate we always carry a poop-bag and use it for our dogs and any mistakes by others. Dont want to stir up those anti-doggers.

I am moving back to Florida from Vegas to be near my daughter and her family who live in Parrish. I am looking for a manufactured home park for the over 50 crowd that allows pets..I only have 1 cat, but she has been my baby for 16 years. I would appreciate your e-mailing me the name of the park you are in, or any other ones that you know of...

Thank you, Connie Fretcher

Would you mind telling me the name of the park in Ellenton? We have two dogs---one under 20 lbs. and one way over 20 lbs. Our neighbors take care of our larger dog when we are gone and we thought they might adopt her if we move and can't find a park that will let us have two pets. Thanks for any info.
