I have been looking for some type of a website that compares the different manufacturers, and lists the best homes to purchase. Do you have any idea of where I can locate this information??

My husband and I have been shopping for quite some time and we have narrowed it down to either Fuqua or Homebuilders Northwest. I asked a manufactured home dealer to comment on the quality of his competition (which he gladly did) and when I asked about Fuqua he said, "They are very well built but too expensive." Interesting, that was all he could say about Fuqua. As for Homebuilders Northwest (beside the fact that they look quality), we quizzed a man setting up homebuilders nw homes and he said, "I've worked with a number of companies in the past but Homebuilders was by far the best, I get the least amount of call backs and the call backs I get are minor. I don't know of any sites that compare the different companies...wish I did. Maybe others will comment on their homes and why they chose them. I live on the Oregon coast.

Randy Eaton recently combined both of his best selling books, " How To Buy A Manufactured Home And Save Thousands" with his, "Manufactured Home Comparison Guide" into one book. In this part of the book he rates over 50 of the most popular builders in the United States.

The Complete Buyers Guide to Manufactured Homes and Land is only a few years old but the information is still very fresh. What has changed, even over a few years, is the homes that are available. The Grissim Report 2005, Rating the Top 25 Manufactured Home Builders was just released. This is the latest update of Chapter 10 that You can read as a preview here on our web site at www.mfdhousing.com/top25
