I am thinking about buying a Cavalier in Florida They say in their spec's that they use T&G Novaflor decking. Anybody know anything about it?

novaflor is novadeck with a sanded face.
novadeck is Georgia Pacific's brand name for particleboard.
Some salespeople try to sell the brand name, but is is really a commodity item.
That means it is the same thing as other D-2 particleboards. (most manufactured homes with particleboard have D-2 decking.)

Correct to your question...Ask your dealer if therre is a floor upgrade...Pressboad floors are a deal breaker for many buyers..Especially in humid areas like FL...The 10 yr warranty excludes damage from moisture..DA..because they know moisture is the demise of this product..

PLEASE SEND ME ALL INFORMATION ON THE NOVA DECKING BOARD.
I HAVE A FRIEND AFTER TWO MONTHS, HIS FLOOR BOWED, AND WHEN IT WAS CHECKED THE WHOLE HOME HAD MOLD THROUGH OUT IT.
HE PUT FOUR VENTS AND TWO CRAWL SPACE OPENINGS IN IT AND THE DEALER IS TRYING TO SAY THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH VENTILATION, I FIND THAT VERY HARD TO BELIEVE SINCE MY FRIEND ORDER THE HOME DIRECT FROM THE FACTORY, AND WITHIN TWO MONTHS THE WHOLE HOUSE IS EAT UP WITH MOLD. PLEASE HELP ME ON THIS--SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT. MY FRIEND IS ELDERLY AND JUST CAN'T AFFORD ANOTHER FLOOR. HE THOUGHT HIS DREAMS HAD COME TRUE AND NOW HE HAS A NIGHTMARE.------------HELP"""''''''

A review of the home's installation manual, will give you the proper ventilation formula. One square foot of free vent area (144 sq in) for each 150 square feet of floor space. Most foundation vents are marked with the actual free area they supply.
