14 wide into 16 wide

Simple question.
Our home is 14 wide and we are thinking about redoing it, 16 ft at a time from the frame up. We plan to put down 16 ft. floor beams on the frame that's here. Will it hold it?
Our idea is extra perimeter support. And to make part of it an A frame roof.
Any info?

Why?You'd have to tear the whole thing done to the floor system to widen it one foot on either side.From my way of looking ast it you could just build from scratch and accomplish the same thing for less money and labor..

It would be cheaper to buy a 16 wide frame and then build...geez
