55+ Parks In Florida
55+ Parks In Florida
I currently live in a 55+ park in Ormond Beach, where we own the house but pay rent on the property. I am interested in parks that are 55+ where you own the property to. Any help would be appreciated.
Re: 55+ Parks In Florida
What you are looking sounds like a condo arrangement with manufactured homes or manufactured home single family subdivision for 55 plus residents. Have you checked out the Flordia Manufactured Housing Association website for this information? Most of the better properties in the state belong to the organization and they have a listing available of their membership.

Such parks are very rare in Florida. Of the 300 plus parks in Pinellas Cty. I know of only two. Pinellas Cty. website has a listing of parks and tells which are resident owned. You would have to check these parks by phone or visit to see if they include real estate.
Re: 55+ Parks In Florida
If you want to come further south to the Melbourne/Palm Bay Area, there are a few parks where you actually own the land your home sits on. Twin Lakes and Hollywood Estates are located in Melbourne. Palm Bay Colony and Holiday Park are located in Palm Bay. Barefoot Bay Park is located about 15 miles south of Palm Bay. These are all parks with deeded lots. However, you will pay 60 to 70K for a doublewide home in these parks, and the homes are usually from the 1980s. Lot size is usually around 50' x 100' or less. If you're interested in the west coast of Florida in the Zephyrhills Area, go to www.google.com and plug in the words, Henk Realty. All their mobile home listings are for parks where you own a deeded lot. Prices are about the same as the Melbourne Area.
