I live in NC and am trying to get a low down payment loan for a foreclosed double wide. it is on a fixed foundation. It was repoed and sold to another bank. Please let me know if you are aware of any mortgage companies willing to finance. also does fha finance these types of properties. it is a 1992

You could get FHA financing if the home is built to FHA standards. In NC in 1992 all that was required for a foundation was pier footers and a masonary skirting wall. FHA requires pier & perimeter footings & sheer wall (a stucco like material on the piers). FHA is a 3% down loan program... FYI. If the foreclosure you are looking to purchase does not meet FHA standards you will have to go with a conventional loan which could require a larger down payment.
