Home Ratings

We are told by agents (we have checked out several brands of homes) that there are ratings put on them by some government agency. Where are we to find these ratings? e.i. 1 through 5 ???
We are still in the research stages and looking at many different types of homes.
Are the prices and upgrades negotiable?

There is no such rating system....You might want to buy the book that is for sale here in the bookstore section of this web site...
"How To Buy
A Manufactured Home
And Save Thousands Of Dollars
by Randy Eaton "
It has lots of helpful info for the first time buyer..You can get it here..

Prices are very competitive in the industry and some negotiations are possible...Come back often with your questions...Re some of the posts on these boards to get some idea of what others have to say...Good Luck

Thank you for the reply. It's amazing what these sales people tell you. We are looking at Nashua. My brother-in-law is a contractor and I had him go over the standard options and building information. He let me know what he liked and what to ask questions about. Several brands that we looked at are ok.
Does anyone know anything about Nashua??
