good entry level homes

Hello. What manufacturers produce good entry level homes? Which is better for a single person (single wide or double wide)? I would be looking for something under 1,000 sq. ft.

Thanks,
Eric

When you say entry level...you imply this is for some short term housing..I assume you mean you are looking for decent..safe..housing for a few years and the ability to recoup some of your investment..

If that is the situation..you should consider a good used home..maybe even 15 years old or older...single section in well cared for condition (most likely a trade up unit)...buy it and finance it for a very short term..5 to 8 years max..This way you will be building equity, while living OK..

If you are in an area where you can buy a lot to put the home on..and resell the whole package later..Then a double section about 1300 sq ft..new..might make sense...Much smaller will be hard to resell in the future..These kind of homes can make great first time buyers homes for about 5 years of living..then resell and recoup all or more than all of your investment..

Good Luck

What I mean is a good first time home that will last a long time but, is not real expensive.

I appreciate your help Mr. Murray.
