How do you 'junk' a mobile home?

Is there anywhere that mobile homes go to die? I have a '77 Great Lakes in a mobile home park in the Sacramento area of California. Over the years the house has become more trouble to me than it's worth. Is there someone/anyone that would be willing to haul it off?

Hello M.C. Bailey
Try calling a Auto wrecking yard and ask if they will take it. Your old home may make a good parts storage building for them. You will still have to get someone to haul the home for you. You may also try a classified add. Sometimes people with property will take them to live in while they are building a new home. You can also pay someone to take it apart and put it in a large dumpster and have it hauled to the dump. Good luck it is getting harder and harder to get rid of these old beasts nowdays you may even be required to have a asbestos test done before you can tear it down.

Farmers often are interested in these for use as migrant housing. Singlewides are preferred, due to easier setup.
You might advertise it in the Free section of the local paper. Our old place went to Montana, to be re-roofed, sheetrocked inside, and essentially born again.
